How it works

Crop PDF trims the margins of every page — the black borders a scanner adds, the dead whitespace around a slide, the header strip you do not want to print. You set how much to cut from each side as a percentage, so pages of different sizes are trimmed proportionally. The crop is written to the standard PDF crop and media boxes, which Chrome, Acrobat, Apple Preview and most other viewers honour on screen and in print; the underlying data stays in the file, so re-export the result if you need the cut-off content truly gone. Cropping runs entirely in your browser and your PDF is never sent to a server.

  1. Drop a PDF onto the page — a live preview of the first pages appears.
  2. Set how much to trim from the top, right, bottom and left in percent. Each side is capped below 50%, so the page can never collapse to nothing.
  3. Keep “Link sides” on to move all four margins together for an even trim, or turn it off to shave a single edge.
  4. Watch the preview: the highlighted area is what survives. The same margins are applied to every page in the document, not just the previewed ones.
  5. Press “Crop PDF” and download the trimmed file.
